The Lolita Lempicka fashion house was founded by the couple Josiane and Joseph Pividal in 1983. The name of the company was inspired by the name of the heroine of Nabokov's novel "Lolita" and the name of the painter Tamara de Lempicka.
The brand gained fame after opening a boutique in Paris, and its projects combining the style of the 1940s with modernity brought success. Lempicka's feminine and sensual clothes allowed for the expansion of the fashion house's activities by opening boutiques, including in Japan. The brand's offer has also been expanded to include the Lolita Bis youth collection and perfumes.
