John Charles Galliano was born in Gibraltar in 1960 to an Orthodox Catholic family. In 1966, the whole family emigrated to England and settled in south-east London. John Galliano attended Wilson's School here, then enrolled in Fashion Design at Central Saint Marting College of Art and Design.
He graduated with honors, and his first Les Incroyables collection, inspired by the French Revolution, became an instant hit and was purchased by the Browns boutique. Galliano quickly founded his own brand, and around 1988, investors suggested him to move the company to Paris, which he did not, however. In the end, he narrowly avoided bankruptcy and only moved to Paris in 1990, when he decided to give up his busy life in London. He made his name in the world of perfumes in 2008, when he released his first fragrance - John Galliano John Galliano. These perfumes have often been called mystical or "gothic". Another famous fragrance is the blueberry-rose Parlez-Moi d'Amour. In the production of perfumes, he cooperated with such perfumers as Christine Nagel, Auréliene Guichard and Alineor Massenet.
